Hello Parents!

As we end 1st Semester and look forward to 2nd Semester, there are a few things to I want to make sure you are aware of!

Religion:

We attend Mass on Wednesday and Fridays. Every student is expected to participate in some way; either by reading or Serving. All students are given a schedule for when they are to do these things. This is a great way to get in the habit of active Stewardship.

Upcoming: 6th graders will be Confirmed this Spring.  The date is set for April 29th, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. It has not been determined where at this time.  We simply do not have the space for the many Candidates and the Church may also be in the middle of renovation at that time as well. I will keep you posted on where as soon as I have that information.

6th grade will be attending a Retreat in preparation, sometime in February. We are planning to do this at St. Margaret Mary on a school day.

A REMINDER: Parents were given a form for the Confirmation Sponsors to fill out and turn in to the SCHOOL at Conferences. These MUST be turned in by February 1st in order for your child to be Confirmed. Please contact me at school if you need another copy of this form.

6th Grade:  Welcome to Middle School! Big year for 6th Graders: You are now Middle Schoolers!  This is also the year for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.   Please begin thinking about what Patron saint you most identify with and this will be your  Confirmation name.  You also need to be picking a sponsor who will stand up with you.  I do not know the date of Confirmation, but will let you know as soon as I find out!

7th Grade: This is the year of Kansas History and Social Studies State Assessment. More information to follow.

8th Grade:  Our Pilgrimage to the home of Fr. Kapauan and a culminating project due in May: A recreation of a famous or favorite Cathedral from anywhere in the world.
