Don't forget the last day this year is a full day. Dismissal on Tuesday will be at 3:20 and latchkey is not provided. Awards ceremony begins at 2:00.

Hello, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Family and Friends!
Just a little over one week to go, and I assure that learning is still taking place in our building. Please encourage your child to stay focused until the very end.
Construction is coming along well and the Church will be closed at the end of May. Masses will continue to be held in the gymnasium. Do note that the annual garage sale will not be taking place this year.

Queda poco más de una semana, y les aseguro que el aprendizaje continúa desarrollándose en nuestras instalaciones. Por favor, animen a sus hijos a mantenerse concentrados hasta el final.
Las obras de construcción avanzan a buen ritmo y la iglesia permanecerá cerrada a partir de finales de mayo. Las misas se seguirán celebrando en el gimnasio. Tengan en cuenta que la venta anual de garaje no se llevará a cabo este año.

May 1st From the Principal's Desk
Hello, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Family and Friends!
Today is May 1st, the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, and the beginning of the month dedicated to Mary, mother of Jesus. We marked the occasion with our final Faith Family gathering of the year.
Throughout the year, students have studied and presented on a class saint. Today, they were invited to choose the saint they feel closest to. Students then joined the group led by the teacher connected to that saint, where they participated in a prayer circle in honor of their chosen saint.
What a blessing it was to spend time hearing how we can work together to model our lives after those of the saints.

¡Hola, familia y amigos de la Escuela Católica St. Margaret Mary!
Hoy es 1 de mayo, fiesta de San José Obrero y comienzo del mes dedicado a María, madre de Jesús. Conmemoramos esta ocasión con nuestro último encuentro del año de las "Familias de Fe".
A lo largo del año, los estudiantes han estudiado y realizado presentaciones sobre el santo asignado a su clase. Hoy, se les invitó a elegir al santo con el que sienten una mayor cercanía. A continuación, los estudiantes se unieron al grupo dirigido por el maestro asociado a dicho santo, donde participaron en un círculo de oración en honor al santo que habían elegido.
¡Qué bendición fue pasar este tiempo escuchando cómo podemos trabajar juntos para modelar nuestras vidas a imagen de las de los santos!

April 24th From the Principal's Desk
Hello, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Family and Friends,
Yes, it's the end of May. Please don't allow your kids to check out yet. We still have plenty of learning left to go as we finish out the school year. This week was full of fun including praying a Rosary for Fr. Kapaun's Birthday, several field trips, a music program, a visit from Fr. Garett Burns, and wrapping it up with an 8th Grade Snack Sale.
We still have the Annual Mexican Dinner all day on Sunday. I hope to see you there!

Sí, ya estamos a finales de mayo. Por favor, no permitan que sus hijos se desconecten todavía. Aún nos queda mucho por aprender mientras cerramos el año escolar. Esta semana estuvo llena de diversión, incluyendo el rezo de un Rosario por el cumpleaños del Padre Kapaun, varias excursiones, un programa musical, una visita del Padre Garett Burns y, para cerrar con broche de oro, una venta de refrigerios organizada por los alumnos de 8.º grado.
Todavía tenemos nuestra Cena Mexicana Anual, que se llevará a cabo durante todo el día del domingo. ¡Espero verlos allí!
No olviden que aún no es tarde para completar las horas de servicio comunitario estudiantil. Pueden recoger el formulario en la oficina o encontrarlo aquí.

What a blessing this week has been. I know it got a little crazy at dismissal due to the hype about the weather. Thankfully all of the hail and heavy winds avoided us (as of 4:00). I pray you all have a safe weekend.

Hello, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School families and friends!
It is a big week for our 2nd grade this weekend as they celebrate their 1st Holy Communion. What a blessing it is to see them say, "Amen," yes, I believe for the very first time that Jesus is present in the Eucharist; body, blood, soul, and divinity.
Please pray for each of them as they continue their journey into the fullness of the Catholic Church.

Apostles' of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Each semester we ask our students to put their service in helping out others. Hours can be done to serve the family, school, Church community, or others. If they are working for someone else please have the person in charge signing the forms. Parents can sign off on family hours completed.
Cada semestre les pedimos a nuestros estudiantes que pongan su servicio para ayudar a otros. Las horas se pueden hacer para servir a la familia, la escuela, la comunidad de la Iglesia u otros. Si están trabajando para otra persona, haga que la persona a cargo firme los formularios. Los padres pueden firmar las horas familiares completadas.
